Q1. Why are you running for District Governor?
In my leadership roles as an Area and Division Governor, I realized two things:a. Most members do not have any expectation from the District. They are not even aware how district leadership affects them. The passion of our Members is limited to club level and at the most to the area level. At least we expect TI to come up with new manuals, new educational system once in a while. As a member, what do we expect from our district and do we know what exactly we need to do to make our District #1?
b. As an Area and Division Governor, we are too much bogged down in operations than truly enhancing our leadership. Our limited resources & time is used up in just getting the information across.
I feel very passionate about changing the way District serves its members. We can be so much more
effective in providing our members a lot more opportunities for improving their communication and we can
let our leaders work on their leadership with the right information at their disposal. I believe in my
vision and I can do this only when I am in the leadership position to implement these changes. I believe
in it and I ask you to believe in me.

Q2. As you are well aware of, Division B is rather large, but only has 9 clubs. It takes a while to get here from Atlanta. Are you going to be willing to take the time to come to either Savannah, Brunswick, Waycross, or even Albany to offer your support for the hard work of the Area Governors and the Division Governor?
Yes. I want all clubs, areas and divisions to succeed! Of course, I am willing to come and visit as often as possible and whenever necessary. I have already planned for 8 days of travel as District Governor for club visits to Divisions B, C & F.Back to the top
Q3. Based on the make up of Division B (largely Community Clubs), how does your vision encompass the building of Community Clubs?
Our members are the key in getting us a lead for a community club. I envision our members involved directly in achieveing the District goals. We will work on bringing the same level of enthusiasm & passion for the district as they have for their clubs. As enthusiastic they are recruiting their club members, same passion they will have for new clubs.
With each & every member working as our ambassador, we only need to arm them with right information.
For example, there are around 47 churches in Albany area. We will ask members to talk to their church
members and send our CEC (Club Extension Chair) the contact info for the Pastor so that she can contact
him/her and get a valid lead.
We can also work on publicity events, speech crafts, community groups for more leads. With our creative &
talented PRO, we will come up with more innovative ideas. But most importantly, we will use our members &
leaders time in most efficient manner with right information at our disposal.

Q4. If I don't attend the Spring Conference, can I still vote?
Yes, you can vote by proxy if a member of your club is attending the conference. Here is an explanation of when a proxy is needed and how proxy works.Remember, you can attend the business meeting section (Sat., May 6th, 4pm - 5:15 pm) only and you do not have to pay the registration fee for attending that.
I urge you to attend the conference. If it is not at all possible, here a link for the proxy form for you to sign
and give it to your club's attending member.

Q5. Who will update the information for Dashboard?
Our District Governor has access to member data from TI. It can be uploaded automatically in dashboard. I'm planning this to be a monthly task. Asking area/division governors to update any info defeats its purpose. These uploads will be done by the District Information Officer, a role I am envisioning to create.Back to the top
Q6. Is there a link available for your campaign emails?
Yes. Here are the links: Intro Email(3/22), Vision Email(3/29), Plan Email(4/5).Back to the top
